Altitude Tutoring's practitioners are certified in the Evidence Based Literacy Instruction (EBLI) speech to print approach and use it to accelerate literacy learning. 

Math intervention at Altitude is led by Maira Mujtaba, M.S., who uses a research-based approach grounded in the Science of Math. She helps students understand the “why” behind concepts, using visual models to move beyond memorization.

Blending Montessori and Singapore Math methods, students progress from hands-on manipulatives to visual models to abstract thinking, building lasting understanding. Maira provides targeted practice, revisits key skills, and ensures prerequisite gaps are filled so students can move forward with confidence.

Yes, Altitude's online students show the same amount of progress as in-person students.

Yes, Altitude Tutoring is an approved direct pay provider with the Step Up For Students scholarship program in Florida. Step Up For Students is a state-approved nonprofit scholarship funding organization that helps administer scholarships for Florida schoolchildren.

Altitude Tutoring was born in Colorado, but our home office is now located in our founder's home state of Florida. Altitude serves a limited number of in-person students. Altitude's expert online practitioners are available to serve students all over the world.
