Where are you located?
Altitude Tutoring was born in Colorado, hence the name, but our home office is now located in our founder's home state of Florida. Altitude serves a limited number of in-person students at our home office. Altitude's expert online practitioners are available to serve students all over the world.
Does Altitude identify learning disorders?
Yes, Altitude Tutoring offers evaluations to identify ADHD, autism, giftedness, and learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia).
What can I expect for tutoring services?
Altitude practitioners use the synthesis of knowledge acquired from extensive work with dyslexic and dysgraphic learners to develop lessons that will yield the best possible results. Every child is unique and will advance at his/her own pace. The pace of instruction is dictated by the child’s understanding and progress, not by a set timeframe. Altitude's goal is to consistently provide effective and efficient results for every child. Altitude Tutoring's practitioners use a speech to print approach to accelerate literacy learning.
Will my child show the same progress with online tutoring?
Yes, Altitude's online students show the same amount of progress as in-person students.
Does Altitude offer tutoring in other subject areas?
No, Altitude does not offer tutoring in other subjects. We are experts in literacy instruction (reading, writing, and spelling).
Is Altitude an approved direct pay provider for Step Up For Students?
Yes, Altitude Tutoring is an approved direct pay provider with the Step Up For Students scholarship program in Florida. Step Up For Students is a state-approved nonprofit scholarship funding organization that helps administer scholarships for Florida schoolchildren.
