Brandy Gulliford is a Florida native and the owner of Altitude Tutoring. Brandy is a Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist (C-SLDI), EBLI Certified, and Orton-Gillingham Certified. She earned a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Science in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Florida. Brandy is also licensed in Elementary Education, Gifted Education, and English for Speakers of Other Languages. Brandy earned highly effective ratings on teacher evaluations for her entire 20-year career in public education. She was also awarded Teacher of the Year by the KBCO radio station in Denver, Colorado and was Teacher of the Year at the elementary school where she taught.
Julie Nisbet is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned her Master of Arts degree in Education with Specialization in School Psychology. After witnessing the reading crisis in her students during her first 17 years as a school psychologist and realizing that one of her own kids struggled with language and literacy, she was determined to do something about it.
Julie was trained at the International Multisensory Language Education Council and International Dyslexia Association-accredited Children's Dyslexia Center in Ohio. Julie earned certifications as an Orton-Gillingham Teacher, a Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist (C-SLDI), a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner, and a Certified Academic Language Practitioner (CALP). Since that time, Julie has worked as a private reading tutor, reading intervention specialist, and classroom teacher. In 2022, she became a National LETRS Professional Learning Facilitator, providing high-quality professional development to school districts across the country. Currently a resident of Florida, Julie is licensed to practice in both Florida and Ohio.
